Website evaluation Checklist

A good website will:

YES/NO

Clearly indicate the person or organisation who created the site.  
Indicate the date the site was created and /or updated.  
Indicate the names of any people or organisations that sponsor the site.  
Have a menu that helps you navigate the site.  
Have current hyperlinks  
Use sub headings that clearly indicate the contents of each page.  
Will not have spelling errors.   
Will clearly indicate its purpose.  
Has a minimum amount of bias.  
Provide accurate and reliable information.  
Be "fun" to use.

  • short in-text references citing the first part of the reference, (for example, author's surname), date of publication, and page numbers if appropriate;
